Gregg is the President and founder of our company who brings more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer and business consultant to Kola Partners. In addition to his passionate support for the cannabis industry and involvement with cannabis companies in many states, Paley has represented several Fortune 500 Members as well as smaller companies in litigation and business consulting matters nationwide. His experience includes the development and implementation of risk management programs and SOP’s (standard operating procedures), contract negotiation and administration, strategic planning, employment and personnel issues, legal and regulatory compliance and a wide variety of related business skills.

Gregg received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland and Juris Doctor Degree from the George Washington National Law Center in Washington, D.C. where he was also a member of the George Washington University Law Review. Paley’s legal experience began in Washington, D.C. representing Honeywell, Texaco, Shell Oil, 3M, MSA and several other large companies in a wide variety of civil litigation matters including antitrust and RICO actions. He was also general counsel to the Industrial Safety Equipment Association for several years overseeing antitrust, risk management and product liability defense for the leading companies in the personal safety equipment industry. Other representative clients have included Medical Staffing network, an NYSE company specializing in temporary healthcare staffing, Campus Management, the leading provider of educational financing software, Allegheny Casualty Company which is the leading provider of bail bonds in the US and Travelpro Luggage which was the originator of rolling suitcases.

Paley’s detailed understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements for each state’s unique cannabis laws combined with his many years of business experience makes him one of the preeminent experts in the cannabis industry and places Gregg in a unique position to lead Kola Partners as a major player in the cannabis industry nationally and internationally.
